PDO Threads

Redefine Aesthetic Medicine with PDO Threads

Break the mold of aesthetic medicine with PDO threads.
Illari Threads offers a full line of total face and body FDA-cleared PDO thread lifting sutures to reshape, contour, and tighten.
Reimagine Aesthetic Medicine.

illari Pro Mono™

illari Pro Mono™, our smooth threads, can be used in areas to improve volume, texture, and skin laxity, and to create additional support for barbed threads.
illari Pro Mono™ threads will dissolve over time (4–6) months while stimulating the body to produce collagen in the placement area.

illari Pro Screw™

illari Pro Screw™ threads can be used in any area to improve volume, texture, and skin laxity and to create additional support for barbed threads like our smooth (Pro Mono) threads.
The difference is that our screw (twist) threads have their suture coiled more around a needle to give an extra boost toward collagen stimulation.

illari Pro Cog V1™

illari Pro Cog V1™ is our arrow-headed shape molded type barbed thread for maximum tensile strength and lifting effect. Used for areas where thread providers like to pull and fixate tissue.
This thread is recommended for advanced PDO thread providers when handling thicker tissue. Superior tensile strength and long-lasting results.

Reverse gravity and the effects of aging with Illari Threads—the natural, non-surgical approach for skin lifting and tightening, while creating cellular renewal to improve skin texture and fine lines.

ILLARI THREADS PRO SERIES - PDO SMOOTH (MONO) THREADS

ILLARI PRO MONO™ Threads are a non-invasive treatment for promoting natural collagen production (collagenesis) for long-lasting results in the areas of insertion. PDO mono (monofilament) threads when inserted superficially under the skin promotes collagen, elastin, and blood vessel regeneration, thereby improving the overall quality of the skin and restoring volume loss of tissues.

PDO Smooth (Mono) threads can be placed in any area rejuvenation of tissues is desired and can be placed in a mesh or layered pattern depending upon preference or patient indication. PDO smooth (mono) threads are placed into the subcutaneous fat layer of the skin to promote the production of collagen around the inserted threads through mechanical signaling through connective tissue.

PDO Smooth (Mono) threads are ideal for large volume areas of the face and body and are versatile in both USP Size and lengths. illari Threads has the largest number and types of PDO Threads in comparison to other manufacturers for body and facial indications. Mono threads are the most commonly used threads for collagen remodeling for the face and is used in stand-alone collagen and tissue filling as well as reinforcing and augmenting barbed (COG) thread placement.

PDO Smooth (Mono) threads come in a variety of sizes and thicknesses for facial and body indications. They are used for additional volume in certain areas, skin rejuvenation, or for the correction of fine lines or depressed tissues (i.e., scarring, cellulite, dimpling). PDO Thread combination therapies using fillers, neurotoxins, fat grafting, or other energy-based light devices are very popular to enhance the results for patients.

PDO (Polydioxanone) threads generally last about 6-8 months for its full biodegradation after insertion and upon insertion stimulates collagen production during that period of time. The result from this collagen stimulation may last up to 12-24 months depending upon the patient and indication corrected.

The thread lift procedure using PDO mono thread sutures is a non-invasive procedure that can be performed at your office. Topical anesthesia is recommended for patients during the PDO Thread treatment for patient comfort during the procedure. Swelling and edema may last 3-5 days after treatment and transient bruising may possibly occur but is different for each patient and treatment indication.

ILLARI THREADS PRO SERIES - PDO SCREW (TWISTED) THREADS

PDO Screw (Twisted) Threads is a PDO smooth thread coiled around a needle for extra collagen stimulation boost and volume following each thread insertion. This will effectively increase the threads’ contact area with a subcutaneous fat layer by adding more fibrous connective tissues to develop. PDO Screw Thread sutures for greater pushing up and volumizing of tissues compared with basic smooth (monofilament) threads. These threads are very popular due to their versatility and ability to support tissues while increasing collagen volume in deficit tissues.

In combination, PDO screw (twisted) thread sutures are used to support tissues and can be placed in a mesh pattern to reinforce barbed (cog) thread placement while enhancing the overall effect of treatment. The main advantage of using screw PDO threads is it reduces the amount of smooth (monofilament-type) needed for differing aesthetic applications.

PDO screw (twisted) thread sutures are to be placed into the subcutaneous fat layer of the skin to promote the production of collagenous connective tissues around the inserted threads.

PDO (Polydioxanone) threads generally last about 6-8 months for its full biodegradation after insertion and upon insertion stimulates collagen production during that period of time. The result from this collagen stimulation may last up to 12-24 months depending upon the patient and indication corrected.

Topical anesthesia is strongly recommended for patient comfort during the treatment. Swelling and edema may last 3-5 days after treatment and transient bruising may occur but varies and is different for each patient, technique, and treatment indication.

ILLARI THREADS PRO SERIES - Barbed PDO Cog Thread Sutures

ILLARI PRO COG V1™ THREADS use a blunt cannula to carefully insert an absorbable barbed thread to deep, subcutaneous layers of skin. illari Cogs come in (2) Types – V1 and V2 depending upon preference and are bi-directional barbs in opposite directions creating superior strength within tissues.

ILLARI PRO COG V1™ THREADS use a combination of an 18G blunt cannula and a molded cog thread. Molding Cog Type threads are made by being pressured into the specially designed molds without damage. In this manner our threads show superior tensile strength and anchoring effect compared to the regular cutting type cog threads.

Topical and injectable anesthesia is strongly recommended for the treatment such as Lidocaine and Epi. Swelling and edema may last 3-5 days after treatment and transient bruising may occur but is different for each patient and treatment indication.
